The 80-voice Homecoming Gospel Choir, singing the traditional hymns and southern gospel classics in the Gaither style, made its debut on November 21, 1999, at Boyd Christian Church near Dix, IL. Under the direction of John & Judy Roberts, the group annually presents concerts across central and southern Illinois. Through 22 years, over 350 different singers and musicians have been a part of the Homecoming experience. The HGC final concert was on November 14, 2021, at Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham, IL.
